Fasting…or sleeping for 7-9 hours…means that you haven’t been eating. Usually skip breakfast and eat your first food come lunch? You have now not given your body calories for upwards of 15 hours. Congratulations, your body is holding onto body fat and you aren’t working as efficiently as you could be.

Eating within the first 90 minutes of rising wakes our brain up. So, if you give a car fuel it starts running. Same as your brain. Give it calories early on so it may begin burning calories.
