Steel Cut Oats

The highest in fibre, these oats can take upwards of 45 minutes to cook on the stovetop.

Ensure to stir every so often so that the oats don’t become stuck and burned to the pot’s bottom. Our preference is to place oats and water in a rice cooker and using the “brown rice” preference (sometimes running this option twice).

Regardless, the ratio is 2:1, so 2 cups water to 1 cup dry oats. 1 cup dry oats = 2 cups cooked oats.
