Now into adulthood, we yearned for something just as tasty. What’s solid about the combination of nuts and chocolate is that these little guys also work as a great energy boosting snack! Still watch how many balls you choose to define as a “snack”, since nuts are high in calories.

  • 2/3 cup almonds
  • 2/3 cup walnuts
  • 2/3 cup uncooked oats
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tsp. vanilla (or almond or peppermint extract)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

How to:

  1. In a food processor, combine nuts and oats. Puree into a fine meal.
  2. Besides the chocolate, add remaining ingredients into the food processor and combine. Remove and place into a bowl. Stir in chocolate. Form into small balls.
  3. Place in a freezer-safe container and freeze to allow them to harden. Freeze to store.
